It has been a few years now since I met Anna and Francesco, whose meticulous and hands-on passion for history has grown with great care and interest before my eyes.
When they told me they were going to get married I was delighted, and I was truly amazed when they asked me to craft the historic shoes they would wear on that unforgettable day.
This job required time which was first devoted to studying the iconographies the bride and groom had taken inspiration from, and then making the models using the techniques of the time.
Handing in the footwear to Anna and Francesco and then seeing them cheerful and smiling on their wedding day brought me great personal satisfaction while giving me the drive to continue with my work with the passion and effort I have always put into it.
